Im a mermaid !!!!

mermaids

last night I was looking at a book about mermaids which made me think of a really cute thing that happed at work!..... I had taken a group of girls back to the bathroom one little girl started telling us about her fishing trip, she then went into detail about how there was a shark chasing her. All the girls started to add stuff like "when I was in the pool a shark tried to bite me. or I can swim faster then any shark" and so on. So I decided to join in. I looked at them and said "you wanna know what? When I get in the water...I...turn into............a MERMAID!!! At that they all gasped and looked at me with open mouths, then they started asking wow how do you do that? Can we do that, does it happen every time? I was trying really hard not to laugh as I told them it was magic and every time my feet touched the water I would turn into a mermaid..finally I just started laughing. then a 4 yr. old look at me and said your just kidding aren't you Mrs. Kristen. I had to tell them the truth some laughed but most the 3-5 year old little girls looked truly disappointed that their teacher could not turn herself into a mermaid!! I just love how children truly believe that anything is possible!!! It's so sweet!

LOL, thats hilarious! I can just imagine the look of disappointment in their faces! Thats cute Kristen.
I say alot of weird stuff like that to Aaron and Natalie too. Last week Aaron asked, "What do you do on your vacation, Raine?" and I said, "Wellll, I'm going there to get OLD. So, next time you see me, I'll be an old lady!" I know, I know, its random, but I had to think fast. Their eyes both got huge and they both stopped chewing their food. It was too hard to keep from laughing. They both got a kick out of it though. ;D

my sweet little sister first of all I'm so glad God drew you into the faith because i dont know how I would get anything done without you lol no really its so sweet to just know your in the hands of our Lord. As to your blog I think it's sad you had to tell the kids you were joking. Too bad we live in a world that can't except our little secret that we really can change into mermaids. SHHHHH! ;D

That is so cute;) What's funny is remembering my kids doing that to me! They'd get together (sometimes in kahoots with my hubby!) and come up with some elaborate off the wall thing and I'd totally believe them until they'd all bust up laughing!
